Applications for 1st year inter admissions must be submitted at tsbie.cgg.gov.in by students who have passed their class 10 up until October 9

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has extended the deadline for admissions to the first year of the Intermediate course to October 9 for the academic year 2023-24. All junior college administrators were notified of the decision by the board in a circular. Applications for admission must be submitted through the TSBIE Admission portal at tsbie.cgg.gov.in by students who have passed class 10 and seek to participate in intermediate courses at Junior Colleges across Telangana.

According to the circular issued, enrolling in a programme at a private junior college may be done after paying a late charge of Rs 1,000. All public and private universities will provide admission to this course without charging a late fee. The notice also pointed out that the final admission deadline will not be extended any further

“All the principals are instructed to take necessary action to admit the candidates into Intermediate first year until the last date. This will ensure that eligible students are not deprived of the opportunity to pursue their higher education,” the board circular read.

TS Inter 1st Year Admissions 2023: How to apply

Step 1: Go to the TSBIE’s official website at tsbie.cgg.gov.in.

Step 2: From the homepage, navigate to the link for Intermediate 1st Year Admissions 2023-24.

Step 3: You will be routed to a new page. Select the Mandal and District in which the candidate wants to take admission in.

Step 4: A list of colleges will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Candidates can choose their desired college from the list. Step 6: Complete the application form and attach any required documents.

Step 7: Save the confirmation page and print a copy for future records.

Earlier this year, from March 15 to April 3, 2023, the TS 1st Year Intermediate examinations were conducted by the TSBIE. The board examinations were taken by a total of 4,33,082 students, of which 2,72,208 were first-year regular students and 25,553 were vocational students. The overall pass percentage for the first-year regular students was 63.85 per cent. Girls surpassed boys yet again this year, with a pass rate of 68.85 per cent compared to 56.80 per cent for boys
