The dish is a potato-filled vada placed in the middle of a pav with some dry garlic powder and fried green chillies to go with it. It is relished with much enthusiasm and is enjoyed by celebrities and the common man alike.

While noodles and other fast food were already a part of the street food, now, even Vada Pav has joined in. Reportedly, it is the only Vada Pav shop in the vicinity, where one can get this dish.

In an interview with News18, Pankaj Kasar shared that he was earlier a resident of Durg and he has been living in Raipur for the last year and has a Vada Pav shop. His shop offers many varieties of this popular Mumbai snack. A few of them are Regular Vada pav, Schezwan Vada pav, Grilled Vada Pav and Cheese Vada Pav. The price range of these varieties ranges from Rs 30 to Rs 50.

In the same interview, he revealed that he learned to make Vada Pav in Pune. He added that cooking is his hobby. Prior to COVID-19, he was a part of a different business. But after the pandemic, he decided to sell Vada Pav. He wanted to make something unique, so he thought this dish would become popular.
